Funding opportunities are divided into broad categories below. Follow the individual links within the categories to find the most up-to-date information about the fund - some funding is offered annually, whilst others are offered on rolling programmes throughout the year.

Scottish Forestry: Small Woodland LoanScheme (SWLS) - The SWLS is a loan to allow you to carry out the work required to create new, small woodlands before you get financial support from the Forestry Grant Scheme (see below)
Scottish Forestry: Forestry Grant Scheme - offers financial support for the creation of new woodland and the sustainable management of existing woodland
Scottish Forestry: Community Fund - supports groups and organisations that encourage people to use woods more
Future Woodlands Scotland: Forestry Skills Programme :
Women in Forestry Practical Training Fund: This fund specifically supports women and provides practical and technical training to help women build and progress in their careers.
Future Foresters Fund: Aimed at individuals who have entered the sector within the last five years, this fund provides training and qualifications to help new entrants gain the skills they need for long-term career development

Woodland Trust: Free trees for schools and communities - 2 deliveries per year, March and November
Dumfries & Galloway Tree Planting Grant Scheme - up to £1k per applicant per year
The Borders Tree Grant Scheme - up to £1k per year

Paths for All: community path and active travel grants - supports communities to create, promote and maintain local community paths and active travel routes
Community Paths Grants - up to £1800 to maintain, upgrade create and promote community path networks
The Ian Findlay Path Fund (IFPF) - between £10k -£100k available, with 30% match funding required

Community Learning Exchange (CLE) - funded by the Scottish Government, this fund is one of the ways the Scottish Community Alliance seek to support local community activity and invest in the work of their membership across Scotland. A CLE supports peer learning – virtually or in person – by covering the costs of a visit to another group or organisation to share learning and develop practice you would like to make happen in your community.

Scottish Forestry: Community Fund - supports groups and organisations that encourage people to use woods more
Scottish Landfill Communities Fund - a tax credit scheme, linked to Scottish Landfill Tax, that encourages landfill site operators to provide contributions to Approved Bodies, who can then pass the funds onto community and environmental projects
SSE Community Investment Funds - distributes community benefit funds from SSE renewables projects
Crown Estate: Sustainable Communities Fund - provides early stage financial support for community enterprise projects that contribute to local regeneration and sustainable development
Tesco Communities Fund - supports thousands of local community projects across the UK
Co-op Local Community Fund - supports projects that help people access food, improve mental wellbeing or provide opportunities for young people
Morrisons Foundation - awards grant funding for charity projects which make a positive difference in local communities
Asda Foundation - supports small, grassroots groups at the heart of communities

Scottish Land Fund - Offers grants of up to £1 million to help communities take ownership of the land and buildings that matter to them, as well as practical support to develop their aspirations into viable projects
Community Ownership Fund - funding to take ownership of assets at risk of loss in your community
HIE Community Right to Buy Fund - provides support for communities to access professional services, where needed, to help with registering an interest under Community Right to Buy legislation. This could include legal title searches or help with mapping. Communities can apply for up to £5,000. Open to communities in the Highlands and Islands region only.
